With the financial support of the Flemish Enterprise Agency, Voka Chamber of Commerce East Flanders and Halle-Vilvoorde Chamber together with GUBERNA, the institute for directors launched the pilot project "Flemish SMEs in Action" in 2010. For two years, some 200 SMEs were convinced of the added value that good governance offers in the professionalisation, growth and continuity of the organisation.

On the margins of this project, a publication was issued: "Vokawijzer". This was inspired by the experiences of the project participants and answers 2 essential questions of an entrepreneur: "why should I do corporate governance?" and "how should I go about it?". It also contains some useful guidance developed by GUBERNA.
