Good governance plays an important role in the growth and continuity of organisations, not only large (listed) companies, but also for the many more (small and medium-sized) non-listed organisations.

Setting the course for good governance in my SME is especially focused on entrepreneurs that consciously and effectively work towards growth and succession. Different board member questions come to the fore: How to deal with decision-making power, delegation, accountability, control etc. In short: Aligning all elements with the best conditions, the best people and the best resources to achieve business goals. In a global competitive market, this is not evident.

Testimonials

This book is more than a good and practical study for business leaders and owners of SMEs that consider taking the step in good governance with the Board of Directors and with external independent board members. In addition, it is a source of inspiration for active members of the board of directors to carry out their board mandate in a more meaningful, goal-oriented and valuable way.

Herman Paridaens, onafhankelijk bestuurder

This book is provides great guidelines for SMEs. It gives an overview and is understandable for SME business leaders and/or shareholders.

Francis Callewaert, bestuurder van vennootschappen
