Companies have always faced activism. In addition to traditional forms of activism, such as shareholder activism, new forms of stakeholder activism have developed. The battle is thus shifting from the general meeting to the courts.

What is new is that companies are increasingly adopting an activist stance. Beyond the shareholder value paradigm, companies are formulating objectives that have an impact on society at large. In this way, companies are themselves becoming actors of social change.

To further explore these developments, the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium and GUBERNA invite you to the eighth edition of the Yearly Day of Listed Companies on the theme of activism. During this study afternoon, internationally renowned experts will share their vision of activism in 2021 from different angles.
