GUBERNA Mentoring Programme at Board Level

The national success of the first two Editions of Mentoring Programme at Board Level as well as the positive feedback of the Mentees and Mentors have triggered GUBERNA and his partners (the Family Business Network Belgium, the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium, Mercuri Urval and Women on Board) to propose a third edition. This exclusive programme offers a Mentee, qualified and talented man or woman, the opportunity to be mentored by an experienced board chair or director (male/female).

Inhoud

The GUBERNA Mentoring Programme at Board Level offers a Mentee, a qualified and talented man or woman, the opportunity to be mentored by an experienced board chair or director (male/female) during a period of 18 months. We are convinced that mentoring can be a strong support for a businesswoman or businessman on their way to the board room.

Mentoring is a ‘chaperoning’ relation between two persons: the Mentor (a man or a woman) and the Mentee (a man or a woman). The procedure is designed to help the Mentees enrich their skills & experience and to acquire confidence to better perform her/his mandate or to be ready for a future mandate. The GUBERNA Mentoring Programme is external: the Mentor and the Mentee belong to different companies.

The main objective is to move the Mentee from the qualities, behaviours and thought processes that are key as a manager or director in early years to those that are ingredients of being a good & confident director, as well as providing the Mentee an experienced view of life in the board room. The Mentoring Programme doesn’t mean that at the end of the period a board mandate will be offered to Mentees.

The third edition of the GUBERNA Mentoring Programme at Board Level started on October 3, 2016.

Should you be interested to participate in a future edition of this Programme as either a Mentee or Mentor, please read the related information (Briefing Note 2016 and Rules of the Game 2016 ) and contact GUBERNA, Mrs Hnia Ben Salah. (hnia.bensalah@guberna.be).
