The world is in transition, and so is governance. Societal, political and legislative changes continue to shape the landscape for organisations. It is the board’s responsibility to remain vigilant and responsive to these shifts. In this masterclass, we explore how today’s changing world impacts the role and responsibilities of the board of directors.

  • Omnibus regulation: What does it mean for Belgian businesses and boards? How do boards deal with the uncertainties and the volatile legislative environment?

  • CSRD regulation has underscored the demanding nature of non-financial reporting yet it has also revealed valuable insights. The next step is integrating non-financial reporting with financial data. How do you calculate the costs of sustainability?

  • DEI is under pressure. Paying attention to social matters no longer speaks for itself. Why should diversity, equity and inclusion remain relevant, and how can we keep it appropriate in this context?

  • Are you on a board where the discussion has changed from sustainability to economic considerations? Are you being asked to reconsider strategic priorities? We offer tools and negotiation techniques to ensure sustainability remains a central topic on the board's agenda.

This Masterclass Sustainable Value Creation builds on our previous programme “A Governance Roadmap to Sustainable Value Creation”, and repositions the conversation in the context of 2025 – a time when sustainability competes with an ever-growing list of boardroom priorities.

We will provide guidance to directors on implementing sustainable practices and making the transition from traditional value creation to sustainable value creation. The programme offers real-life case studies with a focus on dynamics and expert insights.

Following this training in combination with Chapter Zero Brussels’ Director’s Climate Journey entitles you to the Certificate of Sustainable Directorship.
