The position of GUBERNA and ecoDa on EU Inc, the optional pan-European company form designed to make it easier for businesses to operate across borders. A GUBERNA survey shows that Belgian directors support the idea, but they are calling for greater harmonisation, clear liability rules and adequate protection for creditors, investors and minority shareholders.

AI
Directors should not concern themselves with the implementation of AI within the organisation. But what, then, is the role of the board? In the boardroom, attention should focus on how AI is changing competitive advantage, risks, talent and value creation. Three board-level capabilities become central: control over critical knowledge and data, a workforce that can collaborate with AI, and governance that evolves alongside autonomous systems. For directors, AI governance therefore becomes not a brake on innovation, but a prerequisite for responsibly seizing the opportunities AI creates.
