GenAI: An introduction and strategic challenges - Part 1

Led by an AI technology expert, a legal specialist, and a senior risk & compliance strategist, during the first half of the day, we will explore the strategic, legal, and ethical dimensions of implementing Generative AI in organisations. Through three interactive sessions and an immersive Experience Lab, board members will gain a firsthand understanding of: 

  • Core technological components of GenAI, its terminology, capabilities, and risks.

The afternoon session focuses on how board members can effectively engage with AI. Participants will be guided through a practical cheat sheet and three real-world cases:

  • A classic business case showcasing how AI can drive innovation in business processes.
     
  • An audit report examining the use and governance of AI practices.
     
  • A reputational incident involving AI.

Each case will be explored from legal, technical, and strategic perspectives. Through these discussions, participants will gain practical insights into how to navigate AI-related challenges and opportunities at the board level.
