Aligning social objectives and economic imperatives in social profit organisations - the role of good governance.

In order to achieve societal impact, social profit organisations regularly have to manage tensions between their 'social' objectives, often linked to their purpose, and their economic imperatives. Awareness of the importance of an appropriate balance is growing.

This awareness of the importance of an appropriate balance is growing within organisations. This is not only due to the recent legal changes in the Companies and Associations Law, but also, in general, to the presence of many actors working in both 'profit' and 'non-profit' organisations.

In order to support the organisation in finding an appropriate balance between social and economic objectives, the organisation can rely on good governance to align the different interests. This is the premise that will be put forward throughout the event, during which we will hear from legal and academic experts, but also from practitioners from different sub-sectors of the social profit world.
