Today, hospitals are facing an exponential increase in challenges: demand-driven care, continuously rising financial pressure combined with the need for greater efficiency, persistent staff shortages, scaling-up, increasing demands around cybersecurity, and evolving societal expectations regarding sustainability. In this context, good governance can make a real difference.
Hospital boards of directors must therefore demonstrate the necessary decisiveness and fully embrace their role in the checks and balances of hospital governance. But what does that mean in practice?
During this Hospital Governance Forum, we will delve deeper into the role of the board of directors in navigating the many challenges hospitals face.
We will focus on strategy, monitoring, and leadership, and explore what board composition is best suited to fulfil these roles effectively.
In addition to inspiring discussions and keynote speeches, this 8th edition of the GUBERNA Hospital Governance Forum will place even greater emphasis on peer exchange with experienced board members through engaging ‘board sessions’. These interactive small-group conversations will centre around real hospital cases, guided by experts.
