Filip Vandeweyer
Filip Vandeweyer started in December 2024 at Guberna as Lead SME Governance. His role is to help SMEs implement effective governance tailored to the company, including bodies such as Advisory Boards and Boards of Directors, as well as tools like the Governance Maturity Scan. Additionally, he focuses on building strong long-term relationships with entrepreneurs and partners.
Filip previously worked as a lawyer, assisting businesses in distress through the WCO procedure. A common theme during this period was that entrepreneurs often lost sight of the bigger picture, and critical information failed to reach the right people. After a period abroad, he joined Voka Mechelen-Kempen, where, as Entrepreneurship Coordinator, he supported various businesses in their (growth) journey. He also initiated activities around the Advisory Board, based on the Buysse Code.
Filip holds a Master in Law (UA), a Master in Management (AMS), and a Master in Corporate Law (HUB).
"Entrepreneurship is a journey where only the starting point is known. A good travel companion can make all the difference. It is my personal mission to connect entrepreneurs and make them as strong as possible!"
