D&O Insurance

All GUBERNA members enjoy a free (limited) Directors & Officers Liability Insurance thanks to the partnership with AIG.

To benefit from this, you must meet the following conditions as a director:

• Be up to date with your membership
• Keep your mandates up to date via your profile in the GUBERNA Community

In brief, the GUBERNA D&O insurance provides the following coverages:

• Coverage for damages and defense costs in case of a claim made personally against you as a director for a management error you may have made.
• Coverage also applies if a claim is made against you for an error committed by others (e.g. employees, fellow directors), including breaches of GDPR committed by the company.
• Coverage is extended to your spouse or partner if they themselves incur damages or defense costs in this context.
• Coverage also includes (among other things) costs to restore reputational damage, investigation costs, travel expenses, assistance during “trade investigation,” and costs of psychological support.
• Notification must be made as soon as possible after becoming aware of the claim or the problem.
• Coverage is financially limited to EUR 25.000 per insured, and up to EUR 50.000 if the insured has obtained the Board Effectiveness or Director Effectiveness certificate.
• Exclusions apply, including intentional criminal acts, fraudulent acts, and deliberate violations of the law.
• Condition for coverage: mandate must be declared to GUBERNA!
