Empowering board members in the age of Generative AI 

While AI is reshaping industries and redefining the competitive landscape, it presents unprecedented opportunities and significant risks for organisations. Board members must understand AI’s transformative impact to navigate this new reality. Our comprehensive AI training programme will empower you to identify strategic opportunities, such as increased efficiency and innovation, while proactively addressing threats like ethical dilemmas, data misuse, and operational disruptions. By mastering AI’s potential and pitfalls, board members can make informed decisions that drive sustainable growth and ensure the organisation remains resilient in an AI-driven world.

GenAI: An introduction and strategic challenges - Part 1

Led by an AI technology expert, a legal specialist, and a senior risk & compliance strategist, during the first half of the day, we will explore the strategic, legal, and ethical dimensions of implementing Generative AI in organisations. Through three interactive sessions and an immersive Experience Lab, board members will gain a firsthand understanding of: 

  • Core technological components of GenAI, its terminology, capabilities, and risks.

The morning sessions explore the most essential technical concepts and definitions, the legal frameworks (including the European AI Act) and ethical boundaries essential for navigating GenAI responsibly. Participants will address critical concerns such as bias, privacy, legal liabilities, and the impact of GenAI on ESG principles. 

By the end of the morning, participants will be equipped to make informed strategic decisions and guide their organisations through the transformative journey toward AI-driven operations.

Hands-on GenAI experience for boards 

The afternoon session focuses on how board members can effectively engage with AI. Participants will be guided through a practical cheat sheet and three real-world cases:

  • A classic business case showcasing how AI can drive innovation in business processes.
     
  • An audit report examining the use and governance of AI practices.
     
  • A reputational incident involving AI.

Each case will be explored from legal, technical, and strategic perspectives. Through these discussions, participants will gain practical insights into how to navigate AI-related challenges and opportunities at the board level.
